About the Program
This program puts emphasis on the development of knowledge from the ground, and theorizing from below as bases for the enrichment of teaching, scholarship, research and practice in social development. It transcends disciplinal boundaries by taking the individual, the family, the community, organizations and the larger development issues, and as the fulcrum for programs and interventions aimed at the attainment of total human development.
Program Educational Objectives
- Demonstrate expertise as a critical human resource in promoting new concepts and approaches in the practice of social development.
- Occupy key positions in the corporate, academe, business and government as consultants and leaders in Social Development.
- Promote new social development knowledge and state of the art in practice through research publications in national, regional and global.
- Publish a research paper on value formation and value transofrmation with empowerment as the dominant theme and people as center piece of development.
