The University of Mindanao (UM) Professional Schools earned a place among the Top 5 Finalists in the Sustainability Shapers: UM’s SDG Best Practices in Action competition, held as part of the university’s 79th Founding Anniversary celebration.
Their entry, “Evaluation of the Community-Based Rehabilitation and Aftercare Program (CBRAP) in Davao City: The TARA NA Experience,” showcased innovative practices that support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The recognition, awarded on July 22, 2025, at AVR 2, GET Building, UM Matina Campus, highlights the Professional Schools’ commitment to academic excellence, sustainable development, and community engagement.
The initiative is implemented through key programs such as BSSW/MSSW, PhD in Social Development, MBA, and DBA, with ongoing efforts in partner communities including Biao Guianga, Biao Escuela, and Los Amigos.
