The University of Mindanao (UM) Professional Schools conducted the second installment of its Research Upskilling Series for Faculty and Students 2024 via Zoom teleconferencing on November 2, 2024. With the topic “Conduct of Quantitative Studies,” the session aimed to strengthen the research competencies of faculty members and graduate students.
The activity was designed for participants enrolled in various graduate programs, including Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW), Master of Science in Psychology (MS Psych), Master of Science in Criminal Justice (MSCJ), Master in Public Administration (MPA), Master in Library and Information Science (MLIS), Master in International Tourism and Hospitality Management (MITHM), and Master of Arts in Education (MAED). The session ran from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., providing intensive discussions and practical guidance on conducting quantitative research.
The Research Upskilling Series forms part of UM Professional Schools’ continuing commitment to promote research excellence and academic growth. By offering targeted training sessions, the program ensures that faculty and students are well-prepared to produce innovative, evidence-based studies that respond to local and global challenges.
